Consultation

To create personalized technology solutions for you, we need to know as much as we can about you. All of our projects begin with a thorough analysis. One of our trained professionals will conduct an informal evaluation to discover your needs and performance expectations, and then we’ll advise you on the products and solutions that make the most sense for your lifestyle or business. We’ll cover your space room-by-room, in many cases doing a physical walk-through, to better understand how you use each room and the ways you could integrate technology for added comfort and efficiency.

Design & Engineering

We then analyze the approved project specifications so we can meet and even exceed your expectations for capabilities and functionality. During this phase, we provide detailed outlines of hardware model numbers, prices, and labor requirements for the job. Utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology and project drawings, our engineering team develops a comprehensive plan for our lighting designers, low-voltage technicians, AV teams, automation specialists, and trade partners to follow. This plan includes crucial details on wiring, lighting load looping and grouping, engineering schematics, rack elevations, and keypad specifications.

Project Specification

Once we’ve completed the initial needs analysis, we will create a detailed document that outlines your budget and performance expectations. The initial proposal will lay out the different subsystems you want in your space, organized by room for easy reference. We will dive deep into the features and functionalities of indoor and landscape lighting, audio, video, and networking in each space. For instance, each room's documentation will list lighting fixtures and control options you may want to include, as well as Wi-Fi coverage needs. We'll incorporate feedback into the project specification before moving forward to the project design phase.

Lighting Design

A professional lighting design curates the ideal atmosphere in every room of your property. We'll begin by understanding how you plan to use your living areas or work spaces so we can later develop a multi-layered design. By choosing the ideal fixtures and lighting loads, we can help you incorporate ceiling fixtures for general illumination, sconces for accenting, and downlighting under cabinets or on tables for focused tasks. We then strategically group fixtures with dedicated loads for enhanced smart control. For instance, imagine pressing a button labeled "Artwork" to showcase sculptures and art pieces.

Lighting Control System Design

Easily adjust the intensity, color temperature, and lighting quality in every living space with a strategically planned, multi-layered design that incorporates ambient, accent, and task lighting to suit every occasion. We plan for low-voltage wire needs, electrical loads, and control programming to empower homeowners to say a voice command or press a button to initiate simultaneous actions. Dim the lights at bedtime while roller shades lower for privacy, or create a more immersive movie night by firing up the AV system as the shades close and lights dim. You'll receive comprehensive documentation detailing the locations of all panels, wiring, and control switches.

System Documentation

With a solid foundation of CAD and project drawings to work from, we can begin a smooth and clear construction and installation process. We remain on track with our timeline, budget, and scope thanks to this detailed documentation, which is crucial for our technicians to produce a final project that meets all of your desired capabilities and functions. We provide this information to you, property managers, architects, and designers collaborating on the project as well, outlining all wiring needs, device placements, power details, rack layouts, and engineering schematics.

System Monitoring

Once our installation is complete, the FutureHome team is still here to provide concierge-level support. We can monitor IP-connected systems remotely from a centralized dashboard that provides real-time insights into system status, connectivity, and performance. Frequently, we can troubleshoot and resolve issues before you notice them or need to call us. This saves you from the stress of technology downtime, which can leave your commercial properties unprotected or audio/video systems inoperable. Remotely monitored systems will receive the latest software upgrades and security patches, plus they'll undergo routine performance tests to get ahead of any potential issues.

Wire Installation

Whether embarking on a new construction or retrofit project, the low-voltage and network needs for maintaining high-performance technology systems are crucial. To support the demand for lighting, surveillance, AV, and shading devices, to name a few, we incorporate the essential copper, fiber, and other wiring necessary to power it all. Not only will these systems work well now for your family or company, but they're designed to scale and grow as your technology needs adjust in the future, accommodating new devices and features over time. Once the wiring is planned, we install and run all necessary cabling, organizing and labeling our racks for easier maintenance.
